Dr. Purtzki grew up in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia before relocating to Vancouver for her undergraduate degree. She received her Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience and Anthropology. Prior to attending medical school at the University of British Columbia-Vancouver, she was involved in Nursing and Health Psychology research. She moved to Calgary, AB to complete her pediatric residency training at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Dr. Purtzki is involved with medical student and resident training and teaching, is a clinical lecturer for the University of Calgary. On time off, she enjoys spending time with her little boy and husband, eating great food and walking around our beautiful city/province.
