Dr. Kanji was born and raised in Calgary. She grew up in the city playing a number of sports including soccer which she ended up pursuing at an elite level. Following high school, she attended university in Florida for a year to play soccer prior to transferring to the University of British Columbia where she completed her Bachelor of Sciences. She attended medical school at the University of Alberta and did her Pediatric residency at the Alberta Children’s Hospital here in Calgary.

Dr. Kanji currently splits her time at Kaleidoscope Pediatrics as a community pediatrician as well as the South Health Campus caring for the newborn population.

She enjoys spending time in the outdoors going for runs and escaping the city travelling abroad with her husband!
